Amin Mojtahedi's headshot

An architectural designer, researcher, and artist, Amin Mojtahedi dedicates over a decade to advancing architecture imbued with social purpose. His work spans various types, including arts, community, education, workplace, and healthcare. Notably, Amin's accolades and scholarly contributions highlight his pioneering methods in unveiling complex facets of socio-spatial dynamics as well as emphasis on creative problem-solving through co-creation with users.

Presently, Amin leads as Design Innovation Manager at HGA Architects and stands as Chairperson for the Certificate of Research Excellence (CORE) at the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA). He's a University Innovation Fellow at Stanford d.school and nurtures a personal art studio. Before HGA, he worked for IDEO U, Gensler, TKWA, and Workshop Architects. His teaching and speaking engagements extend to Stanford d.school, Cornell's College of Human EcologySchool of Architecture & Urban Planning at UWM, and Isfahan's Art House.

In 2018, he was selected Upstart 50 for "disrupting design theory" by Silicon Valley Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times.​

 

He has PhD and a Masters in Architecture and a B.S in Civil Engineering.

Mohammadreza Mojtahedi is an urbanist and community leader recognized for his contributions to revitalizing local economies, driving sustainability, and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical oversight. As the transformative CEO of the Wooden Village of Neyshabur, he has led this agro-eco-village into a new era of eco-tourism, sustainable planning, and local economic empowerment. 


With a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and a Master's in Urban Planning, Mohammadreza couples scholarly pursuits with practical implementation. He advised the Mashhad Municipality, taught at the University of Tehran, and collaborated on urban renewal projects in the Kish Island. A respected figure in the city of Neyshabur, his blend of academic rigor, visionary leadership, and practical experience makes him a forward ­thinking advocate for sustainable urban development.
