Amin Mojtahedi works across architecture, writing, and visual practice. He asks how design can move communities toward more hopeful futures — in spaces for learning, community, and work.
Presently, Amin leads as Design Innovation Manager at HGA Architects and stands as Chairperson for the Certificate of Research Excellence (CORE) at the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA). He's a University Innovation Fellow at Stanford d.school and nurtures a personal art studio. Before HGA, he worked for IDEO U, Gensler, TKWA, and Workshop Architects. His teaching and speaking engagements extend to Stanford d.school, Cornell's College of Human Ecology, School of Architecture & Urban Planning at UWM, and Isfahan's Art House.
In 2018, he was selected Upstart 50 for "disrupting design theory" by Silicon Valley Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times.
He has PhD and a Masters in Architecture and a B.S in Civil Engineering.
